I hold an MA in Ancient History and BA in Ancient History and Cultural Criticism.
I've assisted at the Centre for Lifelong Learning, Cardiff, in the identification and cataloguing of pottery sherds (with the occasional glass shard, and lots of dust, slag and other detritus) excavated from Cardiff Castle and South Wales. This provided chance to expand my contact with the past into a more practical/material dimension. I've also helped out at St Fagans and National Museum Wales, from cleaning out the Iron Age roundhouses to helping children with Roman-myth arts and crafts.
